Initial Comments:
A bed relocation was requested by the facility on March 5, 2024, and processed on March 12, 2024. The relocation of seven (7) beds will affect the following areas effective March 14, 2024:
Residence 3B
Bedroom #1 will decrease from two (2) beds to zero (0) beds.
Bedroom #2 will decrease from two (2) beds to zero (0) beds.
Bedroom #3 will decrease from one (1) bed to zero (0) beds.
Bedroom #4 will decrease from one (1) bed to zero (0) beds.
Bedroom #5 will decrease from one (1) bed to zero (0) beds.
Residence 2B
Bedroom #1 will increase from zero (0) beds to two (2) beds.
Bedroom #2 will increase from zero (0) beds to two (2) beds.
Bedroom #3 will increase from zero (0) beds to one (1) bed.
Bedroom #4 will increase from zero (0) beds to one (1) bed.
Bedroom #5 will increase from zero (0) beds to one (1) bed.
The relocation of these beds is due to a renovation project in Residence 3B. There will be no change to the overall capacity of 113 beds.
The Merakey AVS Pittsburgh Campus facility remained in compliance with the Requirements of 42 CFR Part 483, Subpart I Regulations for Intermediate Care Facilities. There were no deficiencies.
